Joseph Akinwale, professionally known as Joeboy, a Nigerian singer, has dared his senior colleague, Asa, over the N300 million copyright infringement notice slapped on him.
Rexpect legit reports that this comes just two months after Joeboy debuted his song of the year, titled 'Contour,' which was produced by popular beatmaker, Tempoe.
Following the release of the song, veteran singer Asa served him with a notice claiming that the song 'Contour' infringed on her musical composition's copyright.
Contour, according to the letter, infringed on the copyright of a musical composition created by Asa during a recording session on September 22nd, 2022 with producer, Tempoe in attendance.
In response, Joeboy shared the letter on his Instagram page on Tuesday, calling Asa's notice a bluff.
He stated that it has been more than 48 hours since the singer threatened to sue him and she has yet to do so.
He wrote: “ U dey always do love and light and you think sey I be soft meat. You said I have 24 hours, it’s been 48 hours, do something.”
